Applied on company website after seeing listing posted on Monster.com. Was called by HR to set up a phone interview with an HR recruiter. The person who called to set the interview up seemed very unhappy with the task and gave me a bad first impression. Phone interview with HR recruiter was approximately 45 minutes and consisted of all the typical interview questions a hiring manager would ask. She was very professional and asked typical questions like what are you strengths, what is the one weakness you would like to improve upon, tell me about a time you succeeded and how. Just very basic. Focused a lot on my job history and why I was looking for another position. Asked me both towards the beginning and end of the interview: Why Taylor Guitars? Also asked what I knew about the company. Made it clear that if they wanted me to come in to interview with the hiring manager I would receive a call, otherwise I would receive a letter in the mail.
