Tell me about a time when a customer was very rude and how

  did you handle it.

I explained about a time when a customer yelled at me because we didn't have his merchandise yet. I let him vent briefly, then rephrased what he had told me, then explained our policy and apologized that we did not have his product yet. I asked what he would like done to make it right, and then I explained what I could do (which was essentially nothing, but he left pleased).
