Interviewed Dec 2011 in Dallas, TX (took a day)
I had an telephonic interview on November first week, though I thought it went well, 10 days later I was told that I have not been selected. 1 month after this I was called by the manager and was told they want me to be interviewed 1 week later and they will send me the schedule I was amazed but was happy that I have a chance, 2 days passed but wasn't given any schedule, there was lots of ups and downs during this interview. As I was promised for schedule which I never got instead I was told that I have to present something/anything 3 days before, which I prepared hurriedly. Interviews were very good and all the interviewers were very nice and friendly. Except the presentation, I feel everything went good.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Dallas, TX (took 2 weeks)
Applied online after receiving an email that this certain job role would fit well with me, based on resume uploaded. First round was a group phone interview and the interviewers were very nice and made you feel very comfortable. Pretty much talked about everything that was on my resume.
Second round was an all day on-site interview. Consisted of 2 group interviews, a technical presentation, and a group project. The group interviews were mostly behavioral and delved in to the experiences put on the resume; the presentation lasted about 15 minutes. The group project was a time-constrained, materials-constrained design project with a team of 6 other candidates.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Dallas, TX (took a day)
First had a phone interview consisting of behavioral questions. Second phone interview consisted of basic questions of op amps and mosfets. You defiantly need to know your basics. I was told that I would receive another phone interview afterwards because they wanted a second opinion. The interviewer was very kind and made you feel comfortable.

Interviewed May 2011 in Dallas, TX (took 5 days)
I had applied online and got a call for the position of Systems and Applications intern. The interview consisted of three technical interviews and one HR interview. The technical interviews were majorly based on resume and the previous projects that I had done. There were also questions on microprocessor/microcontroller programming.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Dallas, TX (took 2 days)
I got a call after applying online through TI careers portal. They called me and asked me about myself , research experience at university and explained the job description. They called me again to set up on-site interview in dallas and told me to wait for a call about travel arrangements. Day before interview I got a call saying that the job is for undergraduate not for a masters candidate.
This is really the total negative experience and disappointed me a lot.

Hopeless Operations Managers running different groups who cannot make a decision and always keep it hanging. They never contact the candidate after interviewing and do not have the courtesy to feedback. The operations managers cannot make a decision as to whom they want to hire in their and depend on VP, Directors to make the decision who will probably meet the candidate for the first and last time during interview. Why do you even post job openings if you cannot communicate with candidates. Also people working in Dallas operations are mostly transferred from TI around the world. They do not even understand value of Grad School degree and just ignore it during interview

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Dallas, TX (took a day)
It is an hour phone interview.
It started with the interviewer describing about his group and a few behavioral questions. Then, it followed with about twenty technical questions that were mostly about circuit analysis and device physics.
To do well, you will have to be very familiar with most of the basic circuit courses you have taken before.
I did not perform well, and I even realized most of the answers I gave were wrong immediately after the phone interview (mainly due to nervousness and lack of confidence).
Overall, the interview was fair.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Dallas, TX (took a day)
First, I had a phone interview for the system engineer position in their wireless unit. The requirement of the job has MS+2 or PhD. The phone interview was smooth since it was mostly about what the job entails and what I did in my PhD. My thesis was a good fit for the skills which the job needs and I had a feeling they would get back to me with a onsite interview.
The onsite interview consisted of me giving a talk and then meeting various members of different groups with whom I might collaborate and work in future. The interview process was smooth and they made me feel at home. I mostly met with mid level employees who had been there for atleast 7-8 years and not the new hires like me. The process was smooth although I was expecting it to be a bit more rigorous. I left with a feeling that they might offer and they did after two weeks.
