Real Estate Debt Strategies Summer Analyst Interview

Interview Details

First round phone interview followed by a six-interview superday. Most of the superday interviews were one-on-one, but two were two-on-one.

Interview Questions
  • Most were fit questions but there were some on the spot math questions that were fairly simple. Some examples were "what is 7% of 60?" or "If your investment increased 20% and you now have $60 how much did you start with?" Everyone I spoke with was pretty nice.   Answer Question

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at The Blackstone Group in March 2014.

    Interview Details

First round: HR telephone interview which lasted 15-20 minutes, basic competency and fit (why firm, why this department)
Got back to me on the same day to tell me that I had passed the first round.
Second round: numerical test without calculator and supposedly 4 one-on-one interviews. I believe I got rejected halfway as I only received 2 out of the 4 scheduled interviews
