Interviewed Nov 2009 in Brooklyn, NY (took 4 days)
I walked in and filled out an application. They asked me why I wanted to work there and why they should hire me. Told me to come in the next day for a group interview. The next day no one showed up to the group interview but me so it was one on one. The manager talked my ear off and asked me questions like how I have dealt with an angry customer before (which you need to know how to do for this job because almost all customers are angry), what I would bring to the team, and if I had any questions. I was told I would make $8 an hour and met with the assistance manager.

Interviewed Mar 2012 (took a day)
I applied for the position using their online application and received a call from the assistant manager a few days later. He asked if I could come in the next day for a 1:1 interview with the store manager and I said I could. The interview the next day lasted about 45 minutes and consisted of some pretty basic retail questions. He then showed me around the store and explained what a normal shift was like. I was then offered the job on the spot and went back two days later to fill out paperwork and shadow one of the other associates.

Interviewed May 2012 in Rockford, IL (took a day)
We really didn't assess my attributes, the mgr. described to me what her expectations are, what the daily duties are. She told me she would have a decision made by the end of the weekend, called on monday, it changed to mid week. when I phoned her on Monday, she said, "I told you, if I didn't call you, then we moved on" ummm, yeah but you just said decision made by mid week. I believe promotion from within, waste of time, awesome, you promote from within, but don't call anyone else if that is your intention.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Fairfield, CT (took 5 days)
I made phone calls and went into the stores and asked for SM's about openings, they passed my info along to the DM. I recommend being pro-active with any type of position you are interested in. That says it all for the powers that be, they know you went out of your way, I got an interview right away. Met with the DM and phone interview with Regional. Easy if you are bright and have experience. Just be goal oriented, truly believe in and know what exceptional customer service is and talk about how and what you would do to grow the business. Smile and be excited about the company! Great company, great salaries, make sure your not put into a hornets nest of a store, ie; bad staff. Ask why there is an opening. It makes ALL the difference in the world to be placed in a decent store. A brand new one if possible, with new staff!

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Rockville, MD (took a day)
It was a cool interview they were very unorganized and short staffed, and promised me a second interview because the store manager was on vacation, when she got back they totally forgot me and when I called they acted very unprofessional.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in New York, NY (took a day)
i applied for a sales position SO many months ago, I had even forgotten I've ever applied to this place. I got a call for an interview the next day. I didn't think I was going to get it but went for the sake of it. Before you know it, I got the job in 1 day! It was honestly one of the fastest interviews I've ever done - it look about 5 minutes or less. The interviewee didn't ask so much - just the generic questions.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Louisville, KY (took 2 days)
The interview process wasn't too bad, the store was a brand new store opening, I put in an application and was called 2 days later for a group interview which I was able to chose a time. They just mostly asked the generic scenario questions, about your experience, the interview only lasted 10 minutes. Afterwards, we were told we'd receive a call from the manager for a second 1:1 interview.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Secaucus, NJ (took a day)
I was contacted by the Recruitment Manager and had a brief phone interview with her. The call last about 15 minutes and we covered some general questions - why was I looking and what was I looking for, etc. I was then emailed by the Recruitment Specialist to set-up an interview. On the day of the interview I first met with the Recruitment Manager that I had spoken with on the phone. It lasted a couple of minutes, and then she left to get the HR Manager which took about 15 minutes. I then met with the HR Manager and the conversation lasted about 30 minutes. The Manager was very pleasant and easy to speak to. Her questions were not too difficult and not too easy. The last person I met with was the HR Director, who seemed like she was in a very big rush. The conversation lasted about 10-15 minutes, and I answered all of her questions, which again were not too difficult and not too easy. The entire interview last about 1.5 hours. I followed-up with thank you emails and then handwritten notes to all people I had met with. I waited about two weeks to follow-up with the Recruitment Specialist and received no email response back. I then emailed the Recruitment Manager to find out what the status was, and she informed me that they decided to go with a more qualified candidate. About two weeks after I received that email from the Recruitment Manager, I received an email (not a response to my email) from the Specialist telling me that the position had been filled. Overall I thought that the actual interview was fine, it was the after part that has left me with a less than stellar impression of their HR Department.
