Data Center Network Engineer Interview

Data Center Network Engineer
Riverton, UT

I applied online and the process took 4+ months - interviewed at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Interview Details – Applied for this position online. 3.5 weeks later, had a phone interview with a technical person asking technical questions. 1 month later, had a videoconference interview with two managers and the technical person.

Interview Question – Describe a situation in which you have used analytics to make a decision. What would your manager say are your two biggest weaknesses? What is the biggest outage you have ever caused? Describe a situation where you used information that others thought was unimportant to make a decision. How would you rate yourself on the following technologies: vmWare, routing and switching, EMC, Windows, AIX, Linux, Cisco UCS, NetApp? How would you explain how a router works to your grandmother? Describe a situation in which you have explained something technical to someone else by using a simpler analogy. What are you doing right now outside of work to improve your technical abilities?   Answer Question
