The Gap Gap Interview

Posted Mar 4, 2013

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Fresno, CA Apr 2009 – Reviewed Mar 4, 2013

Interview Details – Be honest, give examples of situations you have delt with at other jobs. For example- dealing with difficult people, working to get a order/project done with little time remaining, how you handled long hours, how you are motivated... everything that says who you are going to be when working in the warehouse. Basically everyone doing the hiring is looking for someone that works well in a team, is aware of safety issues, works at a consistent pace and never calls in sick (if you need a day off then pre-plan it ahead of time with your supervisor).calling in sick is for sure a fatal move.
Attendance is basically #1, then safety, work speed and accuracy.
Also.... dont be a complainer, anyone can complain all day.... you want to be the one who presents solutions to the issues the complainers keep whining about (they are never happy anyways)

Interview Question – -When did you fail? If that question comes up.... tell the truth. Failing is a part of learning. Taking that failed knowledge and learning how to do it better is great!
- when did you deal with a difficult person or situation & how did you handle it?
- what are your weaknesses?
  Answer Question

Other Details - I applied in-person and the process took a day.
