    The first step was a phone interview to give details on the job, the second step was setting up a face to face interview with HR and the manager of department you will work with. After that you receive an email with a Background Check (employment verification) link to complete. Once that comes back if you are a perfect match the recruiters contact you with a job offer and other important details.

    Interview

    I first applied for this position April 8th. I received a call later that week to schedule a phone screening with Nicole Wettstein. We spoke on April 14th, (about a week later) and the screening went well. She mentioned she needed to speak to the Customer Service Manager, Tracy, to see what day might work to meet them both. We landed April 21st. I interviewed with both Nicole Wettstein and the Customer Service Manager (Tracy), and was informed by Nicole I would be sent a survey they send all applicants, along with a decision regardless if I was given an opportunity to move to the next step of the interview process, or not. And so, the waiting began... One week later, April 30th, I sent an email, stating it was a pleasure to meet them both, etc. No response. Two Weeks later, May 7th, I sent another email to check-in, wondering if they needed any more information from me that would supportive. No Response. Three weeks later, the week of May 11th, I left a voicemail for Nicole, just to touch base on where they might be in the interview process, and wondering if I was still in consideration. Also, I asked if she could send me the survey she said they have all applicants take. No response. Later in the week, on Friday, May 15th (3 1/2 weeks since the interview, with no response), I started to make sporadic calls (with no voicemails) to Nicole, hoping to catch her on the phone before the weekend. I finally had luck that day, and was able to get Nicole on the phone. She seemed surprised I had called, and informed me they were hoping to make a decision by Memorial Day. I asked her about the survey, and she said she'd make sure she would send this to me before she left on vacation the following weekend. Four weeks later, by Wednesday, May 20th...no emails with a survey. I emailed Nicole a reminder about this, and received an auto-reply, saying Nicole was out of the office...great! OK, no problem. In the auto-reply, she left the emails of two other HR assistants who can help: Lisa Stoller and Carol White. I emailed them BOTH, explaining the situation. No response. Five weeks later, Tuesday, May 26th, I sent another email to Nicole, stating she must have forgotten to send me the survey, and I wasn't able to get a hold of her colleagues in her absence for assistance. I also said, either way, if I'm no longer in the consideration for the position, I thanked them for the opportunity, and just would like to receive confirmation. No response. Six weeks later, finally, I receive a generic email stating I am no longer in consideration for the position. I literally had to hound the company for updates, and had zero responses throughout the entire time. An email takes 30 seconds max to construct - even if it is open ended and explaining there is still time in the hiring process. Also, I feel I didn't get a full chance considering I wasn't even sent the survey. For a company rated 4.1 on Glassdoor, I expected much better.

    I first interviewed with Human Resources over the phone and later had additional phone and in-person interviews with Contact Center Management. I have nothing but admiration for The Mark Travel Corporation. They understand their employees are a valuable asset. Their interview process may take long, but that's because they ensure they hire people who share their values and show a high level of commitment to the mission and the vision of the organization. I have never been more impressed with a company.

    • Several behavioral questions. My advice is to go prepare to provide specific examples that can demonstrate to the management team the kind of leader you are. I would also suggest you become familiar with Mark Travel's mission, vision and core values and make sure you are truly a good match. This team understands that hiring the right people is key to their continued success and will test you to make sure you are a good match. Come prepared to show the value that you can bring to the organization and only apply if you are interested in working for a company with a true purpose.   Answer Question

    I worked with Lindsay and she was great from the beginning! Professional yet friendly and she really knew what the company was looking for in an employee. She was honest about the company and job as well as the amount of salary I should ask for (I asked for too little). She was amazing!

    Interview

    Received a call to set up an HR phone screen about 3 weeks after applying online. Had another phone screen a few days after that with a marketing person. An in-person interview was set up for about a week later and at the time I was told they'd be making a decision within about a week. Two weeks went by and I followed up and was told they were making some changes and would be in touch. Four weeks went by and I was asked to come in for yet another interview with the new manager of the area. She informed me they had hired someone and were looking to hire one more person and would be making a decision within a few days. Once again, I didn't hear anything, followed up after 2 weeks with the person I interviewed with and with HR and did not hear back. The follow up (even if I did not receive the position) was very poor.

    I submitted my application online through the marktravel.com website. About a week later I was reached out to via phone to set up a phone interview with an HR manager. A few days after that I was asked to come onsite for an interview with the hiring manager and the Corporate Recruiter Lindsay. The confirmation email was very clear on how to get there, where to park, and who I would be speaking with. The interview lasted about 45 minutes, and both Rebecca and Lindsay were very gracious and engaging during the interview. A week after that I was called and offered the position!

    Applied online. First had a phone interview with Lindsay, then an onsite interview. Lindsay was so great-bubbly, helpful/informative, and has a very obvious passion for her job.     Recruitment process went very smoothly. It did take about three weeks for them to contact me after I submitted my application, but after that I was hired within two weeks. Everyone was very friendly and seemed interested in your experience but also what sort of a fit you would be for the company and your team. I didn't find the interviews to be stressful, but comfortable and more of a conversation than an interview.
