Interviewed Sep 2011 in Omaha, NE (took 2 days)
I had two interviews both of which asked a lot about my previous employment. It took a long time for them to get back to me after my second interview. I didn't hear for about a month but made many follow up calls.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Omaha, NE (took 1 week)
Spoke multiple times on the phone with the recruiter. Was asked to come in to discuss the position in greater detail. I had a bit of a tickle in my throat when the interview started which threw me off a little but I answered the questions as well as I could. I felt that the questions were only about how long I planned to stay at the company. I mentioned that I took a certificate program for my nursing assistant position after Sales for many years left a bad taste in my mouth- mainly for the fact that I was laid off twice in the past year and a half. I told her that I really missed the sales aspect and that I was working as a CNA only to determine if the health care field would be a better fit for me after a few years of struggling in the sales world. I left the interview feeling a bit defeated mainly because I was never asked anything about my sales and management background. I followed up after I received an email declining me for the position a short time later. I called to attempt a reinterview with a hiring manager instead of a recruiter but was declined. I'm not a person who is full of themselves but I know they are missing out on someone that would be spectacular in the company and in that position.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Omaha, NE (took a day)
An HR rep contacted me via email to set up an interview appointment. The interview was fairly straightforward. She basically went down my resume, asking about my work history, and gave me details on the position. She wondered if I would consider leasing instead, because of my interpersonal background. This basically told me I didn't get the job. I was not interested in leasing apartments either.

Interviewed Sep 2009 in Dallas, TX (took a day)
First interview with the regional manager went well. I had a second interview with one of the partners the following day. She showed up an hour late and asked me questions like, "What do your parents do for a living?" I didn't know if this was an icebreaker to start the interview or if this was going to effect my employment status with the company. Overall, it was strange.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Houston, TX (took 1+ week)
It started with a phone interview and then was followed by a 1:1 interview with two different managers. I had the opportunity to meet with the hiring manager and a partner. This was a great experience as I got to learn a lot about the company and the culture. I felt comfortable to ask questions that I wanted to know the answers to and really felt that the company cared about its employees. The partner explained that it was a great time to join the business because the company was big enough to have tremendous growth opportunities but small enough to know their employees by name. I didnt like that interview started 10 min late.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Houston, TX (took 2 weeks)
I had one interview with the recruiter who was very nice and of course had only positive things to say about the company. Then two one-on-one interviews with one of the owners. All in all it was a good experience. All interviews were conducted on site at three different complexes in the area. The complexes vary considerably in quality level. The only thing that made me hesitant is that when the offer came, it was a bit vague and given verbally, not in writing. My best advice to other candidates - make SURE you ask for a written offer.

Interviewed May 2009 (took 1 week)
1-2 phone interviews with HR and then a final 1 on 1 interview with the owner. The entire process took maybe a week.
For the most part the interview process is a getting to know you approach. Think of it like a first date-they're getting to know you as a person to see if you would be a good fit.
They're looking for someone bright, energetic, enthusiastic, and charismatic.
Communication skills are very important and confidence(not arrogance) is a must.
The ideal candidate is pretty straight laced with good intuition and a knack for persuasion. Your number one priority is getting leases-keep that in perspective but don't compromise good values.
Just relax and be genuine-there's not very much pressure in the interviewing process.

HR asked how much I had in mind. The final decision came from the owner who gave the amount to HR for the offer. Advice: look up the average pay for a leasing agent and let them know what you found. If you don't know, you may get low balled on the amount.
