Interviewed Feb 2010 in Indianapolis, IN (took 2+ weeks)
The hiring process was good. Even though there was a very fast turn around in my situation, I am aware of other people who were not so lucky.

Interviewed Apr 2008 (took a day)
It was a very informal interview process. All interviews at the stores will be different because these are all individually owned and operated. Mine was just the owner and his wife and was informal at best. He asked how long I would be there and if I planned on going to school in the area. I came form another store and he wanted to make sure I could adapt to a different environment. The other people for the most part are very cool.

called me for a phone interview, asked me to come in later that day, 30 minute interview with accountant and owner, IQ test, and left for the day. They did some background checks and called my references and offered me the job a few days later.

Interviewed Jul 2009 in San Diego, CA (took 2 days)
I had two interviews total. One day, I had a very short interview with the manager of the store. It was probably about 15 minutes and it was a pretty easy interview. She browsed through my resume and saw that I had previous experience with handling packages. She asked me if I can handle the pressure of charging people handling fees for picking up packages that don't really exist in other UPS Stores. I said I was ready for that. After that, she said she'll get back to me ASAP as at that time they needed more hands to help in the store. The very same day, I got a phone call from the owner of the store asking me to come in the very next day for another interview, this time with him. The interview with him was pretty much the same questions. I threw him a few questions, including the dress code, etiquette, etc. 2 hours after my interview with him, I got a call from him saying that I got the job. I accepted right away.
