Interviewed Oct 2011 in Malvern, PA (took 3 weeks)
Vanguard reps came to my college career fair. Luckily senior IT managers were there filling in interview slots. I had my first round interview 2 weeks after the fair. It was an easy one on one behavioral interview asking similar questions. I got a call 2 days later to come to HQ in a week for final round interview. It was a full day consisting of company presentation by the CTO, 2 one on one interviews and a group problem solving exercise. The one on ones were again behavioral but focused more on my past experiences and how I can adapt to certain difficult situations. They also went through my technical skills I listed on my resume. Alot of questions were emphasized on teamwork skills. Vanguard follows STAR format. Both interviewers had the same set of questions given to them by HR. The group exercise was mainly to choose as a group top items essential to take on a trip to a desert. The whole interview process went smoothly. All my interviewers were very warm, friendly and spoke endlessly about their positive experiences with Vanguard. I got an offer 5 days later.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Malvern, PA (took 1+ week)
The interview started with a 15 minute phone interview that consisted of basic background and experience questions as well as STAR format questions such as tell me about a time.... After the initial phone interview, the next day a formal 1:1 interview was extended. The 1:1 took about 4 hours and I interviewed with 3 different people with the same STAR format questions.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Malvern, PA (took 2 days)
I first applied online through careerbuilder an was contacted by Ranstad a few days later. I first had to go through a phone screen an then went for a first round in person interview with Ranstad. I came back again for a second round with the hiring manager for an in person interview. Both interviews were challenging in respect to answers the questions thoroughly an in the format Vanguard looks for.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Malvern, PA (took a day)
HR called while I was walking down a busy street. When I tried to resched. she insisted on conducting the interview. I had to scream my responses into the cell and most of the time, I could not hear the question. I was out of breath from rushing to get to my car for silence. Needless to say, I got a Dear John letter.

Interviewed May 2011 in Malvern, PA (took 4+ weeks)
The first phone interview was harder than I expected because it went beyond the screening questions about myself and what I knew about the company, and included behavioral questions which I had not prepared for yet. The second phone interview was much easier, with a different HR rep, and covered only screening type questions about myself, the company, and what type of work I was interested in. The in-person group interview was 4 people total for approx 2 hours, 2 groups of 2 people for an hour each. It almost seemed like good cop, bad cop because the first group of people were very nice, friendly, encouraging with fairly easy questions. The second group of people were not smiling, and asked much harder questions that I was not prepared for. I really thought I had blown it. I applied online initially, but I did have an employee referral on my application, and this employee is fairly high-level. I have been told that only gets you the interview, not the job. Once I was on the job, the 2nd group of supervisors that was not friendly in the interview, were actually very nice to me. That's the other reason I suspected the interview was conducted that way purposefully.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Malvern, PA (took 3 weeks)
First got a call from the Talent Acquisition Specialist about this opportunity. The phone conversation was for about 20 minutes. Then a week later I had a more formal phone interview with the hiring manager. At the end of the phone interview, the person invited me to a penel interview for the following week. The penel interview was great, the people were super nice. Basic STAR-based questions. Make sure you emphasize your analytical and teamwork skills. Got the offer a few days later!

Interviewed May 2011 in Valley Forge, PA (took 2 weeks)
First had a phone interview which lasted a half hour. Mostly behavioral questions. I was then asked to come have a 1:1 interview. About a week later had interveiw which consisted of 3 hour interviews. The first 2 were with 2 people and last one with one. Everyone was very friendly and I thought it was an overall positive experience. Called me back about a week and a half later to let me know the result.
