Edward Jones Financial Advisor Interview Question

I interviewed in Dallas, TX and was asked:
"The part of hiring that most Edward Jones candidates struggle with is the face to face survey. During a career as an Edward Jones financial advisor, you have to be able to meet new people everyday. EDJ measures that ability during the interview process with an exercise. Candidates are given a sheet with several questions (i.e., How long have you lived in this area; What are your favorite things about the area, etc.). The object of the exercise is to measure the candidates ability to strike up a conversation with a total stranger and get a follow up phone number. The phone number is never used beyond that exercise, but it requires candidates to get out of their comfort zones. And, ultimately prepares them and sets expectations on the day to day life of a new financial advisor."
