Northwestern Mutual Financial Representative Interview Question

I interviewed in Morristown, NJ and was asked:
"There were two questions. The first was why do you want to work here? The second question was: Are you ready to work extremely hard, with no supervision, for the first five years of doing business without knowing if you are going to make a healthy living from it?"

For the first answer, normally this would be a standard question but since this position is compensation only, with a huge turnover, you need to have a valid reason. That reason helps you through the first five years of work, so if it is not sincere, it won't pass.
For the second question, it really is whether you believe that you are strong enough, both mentally and emotionally to go through the stress, lack of income and hard work without supervision. The compensation in the long run in unparalleled, but if you lack the proper concentration, you will not make it in the industry.
