Because of my location, I leave 40 minutes before work starts to allow myself 10-15 minutes of extra time just in case there is a traffic jam on the highway, and to be able to do everything I need to (use bathroom, buy snacks from vending machines, chat with coworkers) so that I do not waste company time.
