Interviewed May 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 2 weeks)
The first interview involved 2:1 interviews exploring my personal engagements in the past and skills I may bring to the company. It was mainly skill focused to ensure that the candidate has the right skills. The second interview was more in depth with further role plays.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in City of London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
The company emailed me back rather quickly after I submitted my online application. The first stage was the phone interview.
The interviewer was from HR department who only worked there for a few months. The process lasted for about 45 minutes and it was not a chat at all - she was typing down every word I was saying into her computer system - at times, she asked me to speak slowly for her to record it all down.
It was as if I was reciting into a record system and there was no form of "communication" taking place. She made no effort to ask back questions or take any interest in my content but merely to complete her job as "recording the interviewee's words". She was also in a rush to finish the interview.

Interviewed Dec 2010 in City of London, England (United Kingdom) (took 7 weeks)
The first round interview was a phone call from one of the recruiters, where basic questions were asked such as why I want to do the business graduate program, people I like to work with, and what I hope to gain from it. They also asked some questions about the company itself, such as what is your opinion of the effect the recent financial crisis had on thomson reuters, and what is a suitable strategy for the near future?
This interview took about 30 minutes.
The second interview was also by phone and this was the last one before going to an assessment center. They asked very detailed question about the company in particular, such as what is my opinion for a new strategy, what are weaknesses and strengths of the company. They also asked in particular what did I learn from my experiences (most valuable experiences). These were the main questions they were asking. This interview took about 1 hour.
I made it to the final round, an assessment center in Switzerland, but I was unable to participate, so I had to withdraw my application.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
I applied online for this Business Graduate Programme. I got the email from an HR girl telling me that I was invited to take an telephone interview almost a month later. I have waited for another week till they finally arranged it. The telephone interview took 30 mins. The lady was very nice and asked some competency questions, such as why do you choose TR, why do you choose this programme, why do you think you fit this role? What is the lated product of TR? How much do you know about TR's products? What is your most successful experience so far?? What will you do if you meet a problem? You have to prepare examples for every question. However, you have to answer the questions quickly and briefly. The lady was in a rush in the last few minutes and tried to stop me when I was talking.
