Interviewed Nov 2010 in Chicago, IL (took a day)
It was a group interview, they told us about their company and interest etc. We were then given a test, 50 questions in 12 minutes. After that, we were presented with another logic test which consist of following the flow of a flowchart. it was that difficult but it takes some getting used to. Waiting to see if I get a call or not. Thanks

Interviewed Jun 2010 (took 5 days)
Thoughtworks is know for its extensive interview process.. i applied for the software developer / consultant role online, my profile was selected, got a call from hr, i was told that i would be receiving 3 problems and i need to solve one and send it across for code review. coding can be done in either java, .net / ruby. i managed to come up with the solution within the given timeframe.. unfortunately i dint make thru the next level .. the feedback that i received was no automated build script, no unit tests and long methods.. although i have not been doin hands on development for the past 3 yrs i am satisfied that i am still able to code and come up with the solution... overall i enjoyed solving the problem...

Interviewed Apr 2010 in Calgary, AB (Canada) (took 3 days)
Initial conversations with various people were promising, but the opportunity foundered on the idea of 100% travel.
Also, if you don't think Agile is the only hammer you'll ever need for software development, data management, dating, cooking, raising kids, writing books, whatever, then forget about it.

Interviewed Apr 2008 in Bangalore (India) (took 2 days)
First one is given a assessment test that one does at home and submit for review. its basically a java solution for the problem. If the solution is having good design approach one would be called for the next round. In the next round, one has to go to their office and take aptitude test. if this is passed one would have to go through a pair programming experience.

Interviewed Dec 2009 (took 5 weeks)
I was first interviewed for a developer position but after my first phone interview with the HR person, we mutually agreed that I am more suitable for a BA position, although they do not generally hire junior BAs. I was still sent the code in Java exercise, which I tried to do on extra time. After that I was interviewed by 2 BAs mostly behavorial questions. After all this, I was told that they do not have a position matching my skills and background and that they will let me know if their needs change in the next 6 months.

Interviewed May 2008 in Sydney (Australia) (took 3 days)
ThoughtWorks had a very thorough interview process that spanned a number of days. It was slightly frustrating because one had to take out between 1 and 2 hours over 3 days or go in and spend a whole day with them (choice is yours)... but I appreciated and respected the thoroughness of the process.
Initial Phone interview with HR: went on for over 45 mins. The interviewer asks you questions designed to test your thought process and makes notes of your answers. Some of the questions are definitely off the beaten part E.g. what do you think of the future of facebook? There was also an opportunity to ask after the culture of the company and other questions that the candidate might have.
Testing: Two tests that took about 20-30 mins each. They call you in to their premises. For a BA role, the tests were (i) general aptitutde and (ii) comprehension (if i remember correctly)
Panel Interview: An interview with two contemporary BAs. We did a role play session where they played stakeholders and put me in a mock requirements gathering situation. I storyboarded stuff on a pencil and paper. It seemed to go down well with them. You can also ask them questions about the work culture, why they like the place etc.
1:1 Interview: I don't remember who this was with but it was with someone high up. This is just an opportunity to clear out the final details: he'll ask you what your career plan is, why you think you'll fit in well etc. You can ask him what sort of growth you can expect etc.

Reason for Declining
I took a higher paying, less interesting contract job. I've always thought of going back because I was greatly impressed with the people and their processes.

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Chicago, IL (took 6 weeks)
Started with a phone interview by HR where they discussed my resume and cultural fit in the company.
Then they gave me a coding exercise. I was given 3 days to submit the solution. It was followed by a technical phone interview on Java and the submitted solution.
I was later invited for an onsite interview. I was given two timed written tests, one was a logical test and another was a speed test. This was followed by 1:2 behavioral interview and a technical interview.
The overall experience was good. The recruiter was very responsive and they provided quick response after every round. Onsite interview was more like a personality test rather than a technical interview.
