You will be tested online through a third party company. But the software is very similar to what you will be working on in the position. They want to make sure your personality is consistent with your decision making process. They give you sales scenarios and multiple choices on how you will react.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took a day)
I got the feeling from the begining that they had somebody else in their mind to hire. The assistent manager was relly nice and my interview with her was pleasant but the manager was rude and very supperficial.I use to love the company and after that experience I can't even wear my tiffany jewelery anymore ... such bad experience!!

Amazing experience! Having been interviewed in the Tiffany building in Manhattan was an honor. An impressive organization with really powerful executives.
Had a phone interview, followed by a presentation, and 3 1-1 interviews.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Nashville, TN (took 1+ week)
I applied through the online portal, tiffanycareers.com for the Sales Professional position. I called and left the hiring manager a voicemail with my information and intent, and was called back 3 days later with an interview offer for the Operations Assistant position, as the sales position had already been filled. We scheduled the interview for 4 days from the date of the call. I went in for the interview and waited for about 5 minutes while the manager went to the restroom. The office manager, the operations manager, and I went into the office of the manager for the interview. The interview lasted around 18 minutes and consisted mostly of questions about my background, previous jobs I had held, and what I liked/disliked about the jobs. They also asked questions such as "Tell me about yourself" and situational questions to gauge my personality. They described the duties of the Operations Assistant position. They also asked me if the pay they were offering ($14.00/hr) was sufficient as my background in cellular sales tends to pay more, to which I responded that it was perfectly acceptable. I left the interview feeling quite confident in how it progressed.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took 5 days)
I had two interviews with two different managers. The first was a little more detailed, we talked about my past sales experience, she asked some situational questions that could happen in the holidays at Tiffanys. The second interview was much shorter. I think they were looking for more personality and the ability to keep calm under pressure.

Negotiation Details
I didn't negotiate because I was happy with the pay, but the full-time staff got a much higher commission, which was unfortunate because we were not allowed to sell the more expensive items.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 weeks)
Recruiting Manager called to set up a phone interview. Asked same questions as a regular 1:1 face interview such as Define what customer service means to you? Are you good working in a team? Why did you leave your last job? She asked detailed questions about my resume and to describe each previous job and what I did at those positions. Asked How have I handled previous angry customers? Were there any situation where I had to act as a manager or be a team leader and it was done successfully? She also asked for me to describe a situation where I had to work in a team and how my influence helped the outcome. A couple of days later I got the call for the 1:1 interview with an email confirmation. I met with the same HR Recruiter that I spoke with and then she asked me a few more questions relating to how I work and if I am able to multitask and why should she hire me? Where do I see myself in the next couple of years? Then was interviewed by the Assistant Manager who LITERALLY spoke for a good 30 minutes in a very monotone voice and described in DETAIL what the position entailed. She asked Why do I want to work for Tiffany's. Then she talked the entire time. Then I met with a Manager who didn't want to keep me longer than he had to (which I highly appreciated). He as well went through my resume from top to bottom and I had to describe certain work related situations that I had to handle and how I overcame them. He too described the position and asked if I had any further questions. He was more personable than the Assistant Manager. I recently sent a thank you for the interview email and was told I will be contacted by early next week to get an answer on whether I am hired or not.

Interviewed Jul 2011 (took a day)
Applied online and about a week and a half later got an e-mail to schedule a date for the interview. I was interviewed by a man and woman and the entire interview lasted about 30-45min total. It was a full-time position and since I was attending school, they were genuinely concerned about how I would be able to do effectively do both. I, of course, didn't get the job but at least I can say that I interviewed with Tiffany and Co. I was asked about my previous jobs, which job I liked the best, what my major was.

It was very simple and easy. I felt that because they had all of my information ahead and were aware of my skills and background, the process was fast.
