Interviewed Dec 2011 (took 2 weeks)
This is a position as a Product Specialist for Tom Ford within the Neiman Marcus department store. So you are interviewing with not only Neiman Marcus but also Tom Ford. First you apply online to a posted position, take a personality test. I also went directly into HR and introduced myself which I believe speaks volumes. I then received a call the following day for an interview the next day. For my initial interview I actually interviewed with 3 different people, one after the other. They will not graduate you to the next source of course if they do not like you. The focus for this portion was largely on Neiman Marcus. Following that I received a call about 5 days later for what they called a 3rd interview with the Tom Ford Account Executive. I interviewed with the exec for roughly an hour. This interview was much more intense with questions I was not prepared for. They were a little more left field than your standard interview questions. WHAT TO WEAR: a suit either skirt or pants with a blazer. Demure makeup and demure hair. Minimal jewelry. Although Tom Ford is all about fashion, the beauty line is there demure, minimal, they want the makeup to speak for itself. I wore a suit for my first interview and then with Tom Ford I edged it up a little bit, which was all well and good but the Account Exec did point out that while he loved my pants, I wouldn't be wearing them to work. And make your hair straight and sleek not curly as I did my second go round. Blend, blend, BLEND.
