Interviewed Apr 2009 in Seattle, WA (took 2 weeks)
The first interview was a phone interview with HR. They wanted to get a feel for my skills and personality. The interview went well and lasted about 15-20 minutes.
The second interview was with the CRM Marketing Manager in their office. They were the first CRM Marketing Analyst they hired and moved into the CRM Marketing Manager position a few months later. The interview lasted an hour. They asked about my experience with analyzing data, CRMs, direct and online marketing. They were easy going and knew what they were talking about. It was definitely a good interview, because the vibe was good and they seemed to like me.
The third interview a group interview with 4 members of management, which include a VP. Each individual interview was supposed to last 45 minutes, but they lasted about 30 minutes or so. Most of the management were fairly new to the company and did not know too much about online marketing and leads. They did not really know what to ask. The vibe was awkward and uncomfortable. They did not know what to ask nor how I would be working with them. I noticed that one of management had a SEO for dummies book on their bookshelf along with others of the same nature. The last interview was with the VP. He was about 15 minutes late to meet with me. He asked me about 2 questions, I started to answer, and then his phone rang. It was his wife, he told her that he would call her back in 5 minutes. The interview with the VP lasted about 10 minutes. I thought it was very rude and unprofessional for the VP to answer a call during the interview, then cut it short.
Overall I thought the first two interviews were good. However, the last round was very unorganized and the VP made himself and the company look very unprofessional.
