I applied through an employee referral and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
Interview Details – I was given a notice of 2 days for my test date. Although I was informed there would only be a test on the given day, I even had my GD after qualifying the test. And even one round of interview. I must've had to travel between my hometown and Bangalore 4 or 5 times for interviews (to suit the schedules of random people who decided that they also wanted to be a part of the interview panel). Went through interviews with 3 different departments before finally being given a role in a department which I wasn't too keen on. Must've spent around 4000Rs on travel altogether but was never reimbursed
Interview Question – There weren't any tech questions as such. Questions were mainly based on my resume and my future plans. It was more about convincing the interviewers that you would not leave the company in the near future. The panelists were very polite and humble (most of them were divisional DGMs I would later learn!) View Answer
Negotiation Details – For my job title there was a fixed salary. There was nothing to negotiate about.

If qualified, the next round on the same day, was a technical prelim interview which involved questions from topics of previous semesters. Succeeding in which took me to the final interview, again a technical one. Fortunately for me, most of the questions were from my final year project and a little from the core subjects. The faculty were really very cool, encouraging and supportive. Overall a thorough, fair and a good selection process.
