Interviewed Oct 2010 in Cambridge, ON (Canada) (took 1 week)
Received a phone call from HR approximately two weeks after applying for position. Phone screening consisted of basic questions such as ability to relocate, salary expectations, and some general questions about past work experience. HR person was very polite and helpful. Was invited to interview and asked to send or bring copy of transcripts, diploma, and example of a spreadsheet I had worked on in the past.
Interview consisted of same HR person and two company employees in 3-on-1 format. A majority of questions were traditional functional/experience questions, with only a few behavioral questions. Lots of discussion about education, interests, and previous job roles. Be prepared to talk about your background, reason for educational choices, and 'you' in general.
Arrive earlier than normal (at least 20 mins or so), as Toyota has a large facility and you will need to take a shuttle across after signing in.
They didn't bother to send a rejection letter or email, despite promising to do so. This wasted a lot of my time as I planned to travel (but actually ended up working in my favour - I received an interview and a great job offer elsewhere while waiting, which I otherwise would have missed!)

Interviewed May 2008 (took a day)
For this manufacturing engineering coop position, I was interviewed by a HR specialist and an engineering specialist (possibly manager level). It was a 2on1 session with HR asking the vast majority of competency-based situational questions and the Engineer asking several project-specific questions. The project-specific ones dug really deep into the projects and evaluated how you were able to collaborate with people, solve conflicts and approach complex problems.
