Interviewed Mar 2008 in Torrance, CA (took a day)
The interview was based on a printed list of questions. I was interviewed by a current employee: a mid-level manager. It was a friendly give and take and took about 25 minutes. Mostly they asked about my skills and experiences relevant to the job but they also wanted to see that I knew something about their cars.

Interviewed Nov 2008 in Torrance, CA (took 3 months)
The interview process itself was really straight forward and was really relevant to the overall job. I found the people who interviewed me had a genuine interest in what I had previously done and worked to relate it directly to the position for which I was applying.

Interviewed Feb 2009 in Torrance, CA (took 2 weeks)
I started with a group interview where they widdled us down according to our sales experience. If I am being honest you have to have a connection with Toyota in order to get an interview. They receive so many applicants that if you don't have some connection, its hopeless. They ask all the standard questions such as, "give me an example of a time when you were confronted with a problem and had to develop a solution." They try to put you on the spot and throw off your thinking.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in El Monte, CA (took 2 weeks)
The interview procedure was a little odd. It was a group interview and questions were asked such as why do you want to work for this industry. However, you are first asked to go on a training session before an actual job offer is given. I think this very common for a sales position though. So after going through a training session, and being on the floor at Toyota's dealers you are able to receive hands-on experience; it was performance based.

Interviewed May 2009 in Somerset, KY (took 5 days)
There were 5 people on the panel a VP, HR, Production Mgr, Floor Mgr, Translator. I was asked to go thru my resume line by line to review past experience. Then each panel member took turns asking questions. They were somewhat vague, referring to there own processes. I had to pull teeth to get more information on each question.

It was pretty intense, the background check, was very involved and they tried to verify all the littlest details.
