Interviewed Apr 2012 in New York, NY (took 2+ weeks)
The Phone Interview was pleasant, the interviewer was nice and wanted to check my resume and my expectations for the job (salary, tasks, etc). It took around 20 minutes, and I received an email the day after to go further in the recruitment process. I had to take two skills tests after this phone interview to show my ability to achieve the work. The tests were one hour and a half, and the purpose was to proofread the translation from English language to the target language. The Recruitment staff was really nice with me during all the process of the recruitment, I was able to schedule the dates and hours to take the tests. The results of the tests were given around a week after I took them.

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took a day)
Interviewer seemed rushed and didn't spend as much time on the phone with me as I would have liked. Asked pre-written, generic questions and never got back to me - despite my thank you letter.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Dallas, TX (took 2 weeks)
Applied online and was promptly responded to via email. Phone interview was conducted by HR staff and went well. He seemed nice and helpful to answer any questions. This is where the pleasantries ended. After being interviewed weeks later by the same person (not the HR staff) who did not recall our previous interview, I felt like I was being run in circles and ended the process.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in San Francisco, CA (took 3 days)
I applied and received a response from the recruiter in the same day, asking to schedule a phone interview. The interviewer called promptly at the time scheduled and we only spoke for about 20 minutes. It was more of a "getting to know you" call than a true interview.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
He asked me to share my salary requirements. I told him my current rate and what I'd like my next salary to be, and we were more than $20,000 different. I feel they should have been more specific in their job posting just how "junior" of a position this would be.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Los Angeles, CA (took a day)
Didn't last very long at all, perhaps 10 minutes. The recruiter wasn't particularly friendly, but wasn't rude; he seemed like he was preoccupied or in a rush. During the entire interview process, I could hear him typing out my answers. His neutrality/preoccupation made me extra nervous.
He asked me questions such as:
- Where do I see myself in 5 years
- What do I like about the company
- Why do I want to be in sales
- Why do I want to quit my current position
- What are my strengths/weaknesses

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 3 days)
I applied to TransPerfect trough my school's career site in July. I was contacted via email in September by a recruiter requesting a phone interview with him. The phone conversation lasted about 20-25 minutes. He asked me questions such as why I wanted to work in sales, why I wanted to work in TransPerfect, if I hate to loose or love to win. He then gave me a detailed description about what the position entailed and answered some of the questions that I had. He was supposed to get back to me within 3 days and never did.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 2 weeks)
I applied to Transperfect through my school's career site. I was contacted by a recruiter from Vancouver the next day requesting a phone interview with her. Our conversation, lasted about 20 minutes. She asked me questions such as why I wanted to work for Transperfect, am I a hunter or a farmer when it comes to sales, my strengths and weaknesses, and why I wanted to work in sales. She then gave me a detailed description of the job and what it entails. For the hunter vs. farmer question, I stated that I am more of a farmer because I think it is important to maintain your current client database and make sure they are content and satisfied, but, also having a hunter mindset in order to continue expanding your business. This seemed to fit the role of sales account manager as the recruiter told me that this specific position is about 60-70% managing current clients, and 30-40% developing new relationships. Whatever answer you give, just make sure to emphasize both the hunting and farming aspects and how you need both!
I then spoke to a Director of Business Development. Our conversation lasted about 20 minutes, and we got along great. I told her that I was in the area of the office (I was planning on relocating) so she said she would try to get me into the office to meet another Director of BD.
I met with this Director of Business Development in person. The office was small, with about 12 people working there. This process was pretty informal, and it was spent with me explaining my past internships, why I wanted to work there, and then she asked me if I had any questions for her. This was only after 10 minutes, so I asked her a bunch of questions to learn more about her and the company.
I then moved on to the next round and had another phone interview, this time with a VP of BD. This lasted about 20 minutes, and went well. She referred me on to the next round of interview.
This was the last step of the interview process that I reached. I had a phone interview with a higher VP executive. He told me that he wanted to spend 5 minutes with me on the phone, and when he said 5 minutes, he really meant 5 minutes. I felt like this phone call was more of an interrogation, and it didn't seem like he wanted to take any time to talk to me. His tone of voice was somewhat condescending, and only made me think that I didn't want to work for someone like him. Well, as it turned out anyways, the recruiter contacted me the next day via email to tell me that they decided to go along with other candidates. Through such a long drawn out process, I expected to receive a little more respect that far along in the process. To have spent 2 weeks of phone interviews and 1 in-person interview, and then to be turned away in 5 minutes, is a little unfair.
The only highlight of this process was the recruiter, who was very nice and understanding. Otherwise, don't waste your time here unless you are POSITIVE you want to be treated like a sales person who has no emotions.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in New York, NY (took 4 days)
I applied for a tele-sales position online and was contacted by a recruiter for a phone interview. From there I was invited in for a one on one interview with the position manager. It was a very uncomfortable interview, the manager was new to a managerial position and didn't quite know how to conduct an interview. Afterwards I was contacted by the same recruiter who said they would like me to interview for another outside sales position. The gentleman I spoke to during that interview was very professional and I enjoyed speaking with him about the company and the position. The same recruiter got back in touch with me after that interview and asked me to come back to meet with the director for the outside sales position. She was late, rude, seemingly uninterested in me and only stayed for 10 minutes. I was later contacted by the same recruiter again and was asked to interview for yet another position in the company. I originally agreed, but between that agreement and the date of the interview I was offered and accepted another position at a different company.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
They kept me running around, interviewing for many different positions. Their office environment also seemed less challenging and competitive than what I was looking for.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in New York, NY (took 4+ weeks)
The hiring process was really long. There were numerous interviews, some of those were conducted by same people at different stages. After such a long series of stressful situations, they suggested to start a trial period for the position, which again lasted for 3 months. After putting in 4 months of my time, with barely any wage, waiting all the time for their response, I landed in the job with a minimal salary.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
The salary offered was too less. During the very first interview, I was given an estimate of the salary, and once everything was cleared (after 4 months), they offered me a salary that was ten grands less than the first one.
