Interviewed Apr 2012 in Englewood, CO (took a day)
Contacted by email from the recruiter after I applied for a position online asking when I was available to speak about the position. I gave several possible times and we set up a time the next day. I left work and went to a private place where I could do it and she never called.
Received an email several hours later apologizing for forgetting and wanting to know when else I could meet. I figure anyone can make an honest mistake and gave her another shot. We scheduled another time and this time she didn't call and didn't bother to email me. I figured it was representative of the company and wrote them off.
Several weeks later I received a call from her again, acting like she didn't know who I was and we'd never spoken before. I hung up on her and will never speak to them again.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Greenwood Village, CO (took a day)
I interviewed with two different managers. It was very detailed. They were interested in my education most of all and how my education would relate to the position I was applying for. When they asked me if I had any questions I made sure I brought up the hot top of the health care reform. Based on the interview they were interested in a person that was knowledgeable and teachable and that they could groom to be in the position.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Englewood, CO (took 1+ week)
applied for a different position. Compnay recruiter called a few days later, we spoke briefly about my background, he asked about my ideal job, I was honest and explained how the one I applied for was not perfect, but ideal would be similar in many ways but would have some other attributes. Recruiter said "good, because I think you would be a slam dunk for another position we have". We talked about it and it was a better fit. He set up a phone screen with a VP who would be a peer. Brief 40 minute phone conversation discussing my background and qualifications. That led to a one hour in person interview with the VP who was the hiring manager and supervisor. After that, which went well, the recruiter said I should have feedback within a couple days. A week later, I wrote an email asking for any updates. A couple days after not hearing, I phoned and left a voice mail. A day later I got a call back (now nearly 2 weeks after being told "a couple days") - the interview went really well, but the hiring manager was trying to figure out if there was anyone else who should interview me... he'd have an answer for me in another day. I called back 2 days later, recruiter was apologetic but still no answer. Another day after that, I received a competing offer and the other company was trying to get an answer quickly. I left a couple voicemails with the recruiter over a few hours, sent an email, all explaining that I needed an answer. Finally heard back after hours, they would like to extend an offer. Offer came in below what we had already discussed, but we were able to negotiate and make it work. accepted the offer.

Negotiation Details
Definitely able to negotiate. The first offer came in way below what we initially discussed... and two levels below the job title. When I said no thanks, was asked what I would accept... basically asking me to make the first offer. An hour later, got a call back saying no problem.
Keep pushing and ask for more. I'm sure I could have been better compensated if I had pushed to the upper limits of the initial discussion prior to the offer. I was too surprised by the initial lowball offer. Luckily I had a competing offer that I was basically able to match.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Denver, CO (took 4+ weeks)
The candidate selection process was a real circus. The two different recruiters I dealt had no clue of what the other was doing; they keep asking me for updates on the process. Neither one of them had the slightest idea of the input, requirements or the outputs regarding the selection process. I would go for two weeks without any communication.
Then all of a sudden I get a call, can you come in this afternoon for a 1:1…Please!
3 phone interviews
4 in person interviews
The hiring manager goes on vacation, and didn’t leave instructions for HR. One week later the manager takes a two week leave, as you can guess no instruction for the next steps. This spectacle and abusive ordeal lasted over a month. During which time the job title changed three times.
Ok here is the kicker, after 4 phone interviews and 4 in person interviews. They hired an internal candidate – DUH. Common Sense tells you to post internally first and then externally. This is further proof the manager was lost.
My advice to future candidate – RUN FOREST RUN AS FARAWAY AS YOU FROM THESE GUYS

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Baltimore, MD (took 1 week)
Received a call from a Recruiter, did 2 phone interviews and never heard back. I called and left several messages for a follow up when someone else called back to say my information had been pasted on to another recruiter at the actual jobsite. Finally got a call for her and she set up a phone interview with the 2 current team leads. The interview went very well however, after 3 weeks and numerous phone calls and emails to the recruiter to follow up no response EVER. I get a random company generated email stating they have choosen another candidate. I go back to the website and see that they have reposted the position. WOW. Needless to say they are extremely slow and unprofessional.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Denver, CO (took 2 days)
I found the company and job profile online. Several days after applying, the HR recruiter contacted by phone to screen me as a potential candidate. After passing the recruiter's screening, I received an appointment time for the following day to have a more extensive (hour-long) interview with the Consulting Manager. The interview consisted of more work experience, certifications, and to gather how ambitious I appeared as a potential candidate. After passing this interview, I was asked to fly to Denver the following week for three more face-to-face interviews. Arriving to their office, people were very nice and considerate; the atmosphere feels like a family. The first face-to-face interview consisted of personality questions, the second face-to-face of technical questions, the third focused on my ambitions and to see if I had what it took to be on the road 100% of the time away from family.
