Inbound Advertising Representative Interview

Inbound Advertising Representative
Chicago, IL

I applied online and the process took a day - interviewed at Tribune Company in February 2011.

Interview Details – basically its a customer service job in terms of answering the phone but you also have to do another workload depending on your dept. and be happy and talk about empathy and how you love helping people. you are probably going to take a spelling test and they don't tell you that hey you might end up placing classified ads over the phone or you may be proofreading obituaries and taking them over the phone/email/fax or it could be legal notices. job title is misleading.

Interview Question – none, it was typical customer service job interview questions. the hardest would be the spelling test because some of the words are things no one even mentions in everyday conversation or even in the job itself.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – no negotiation in terms of pay or schedule. basically you just get an offer letter and your start date and you get your schedule at the end of training which is so short (like 5 days but about 6 hours a day at the most.)
