Interviewed Dec 2011 in Newton, MA (took 4+ weeks)
I submitted a resume through Scienceworks (the recruiting website of my university). Maybe 2 months later I got an email from TripAdvisor saying they'd like to do a phone interview. Surprised, I gladly accept and make an appointment. The time comes, and I don't get a call. An hour later, I get an email for a reschedule. The second time, the same thing happens and they send me an email right before telling me they have to reschedule again.
So finally, the third time, I actually get a phone interview with them. The interviewer is one of their engineers, and he has a thick (French?) accent that I could barely understand. After some difficulty, he gets me started on a coding problem online. I have some trouble understanding what exactly he wants me to do, so I sit there a while, coding for maybe 30 minutes, until it's clear to both me (and him) that I don't really know what I'm doing. So I stop. He asks me to explain what my algorithm does (which was hard to do given that I didn't finish), as well as the Big Oh.
Naturally, I get an email right afterward saying they will not be proceeding with my application, thanking me for my time, and that I need to get a bit more coding experience.

Interviewed May 2011 in Newton, MA (took a day)
Met company employee at university recruiting night.
Stuck around after and handed resume to the employee
Employee boasted about the work culture, laid back easy going etc.
Took resume, and sent email the next day about a phone interview.
Had 1 phone phone interview and it was brief, interviewer was extremely rude, repeatedly told me I didn't know enough because I hadn't taken the class even though I repeatedly answered the questions correctly.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Newton, MA (took a day)
I was contacted by one of their recruiters who had gotten my resume via my school. We scheduled a phone interview. For my phone interview, I was asked some basic questions about data structures, then asked to write out code implementing an algorithm via an online text editor.
Two hours later, I got an email saying that the company would like to interview me on-site. They paid for me to go out there for the day, and I had three technical interviews, followed by meeting with the technical recruiter, who basically told me that although I have a great theoretical understanding of CS concepts, I didn't solve the problems quickly enough.
He did encourage me to apply again next year though, and I most definitely will. The experience was a lot of fun.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Newton, MA (took 3 weeks)
I submitted my resume at a job fair and was contacted via email a few weeks later. I did a couple of phone interviews, where they asked technical questions and had me do a little bit of coding online. Then they flew me to Newton (paid for my food, internet, hotel, etc) and I did three 1:1 interviews. Each of these involved coding on a whiteboard. All pretty standard. Everyone was courteous and very nice, and it seemed like a nice environment.

Reason for Declining
Received slightly better offer (higher pay, and IMO a more prestigious company).

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Newton, MA (took 4+ weeks)
Had 1:1 interview with hr and hiring manager on the phone. Second round was at the Newton hq. Interviewed with hiring manager, a director, a vp, engineering director and a product manager. Talked about past experience and how to improve current product. Was prepared and gave very specific ideas a couple of which they were already working on. Thought the process went very well but got a standard rejection email from hr which was surprising. Asked both hr and hirkng manager for feedback and why they arrived at this decision but never heard back. Very rude and unprofessional.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Newton, MA (took 2 days)
Was referred by recruiter. First phone screen was with VP of Engineering. General discussion of background then some technical questions about hash tables then a data structure question. Went OK, but took me some time to think through the data structure (dictionary with LRU pruning).
Got an in-person interview which I totally choked on. 2 relatively easy questions with the same VP which went badly. At the end I told the VP, that I'd be happy to complete the interview, but he should feel free to call it quits if this wasn't going to work.
Met with 2 other people. Those interviews went better, but I was pretty sure that it didn't matter. Then met with an internal recruiter who said they would not consider me further. I like the fact that the company looks for smart people rather than just matching resumes with job descriptions. Too bad my brain wasn't functioning and/or this being my first interview in a long time was just rusty.
One final note. I do a lot of test-driven development these days. I think the iterative nature of this approach makes writing whole pieces of code a bit foreign. Moving forward, I'll just practice whiteboard programming a little more.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Newton, MA (took 2 weeks)
I applied for an internship but went through a surprising interview process. I was first given a phone call, the recruiter went through my resume with me. We then scheduled a phone interview with a manager. After a few days I got on the phone with the manager who gave me several problems to solve on the phone. Those problems were mostly math and algorithms related. They were not that difficult but I was not expecting it. I was then given a programming assignment to complete within 48 hours. Even if I gave them calls and sent emails, so far they have never told me what they thought of my program.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Newton, MA (took 2 weeks)
I was originally contacted about the position by a recruiter, who scheduled a 45 minute phone interview consisting of some general questions about my experiences in the industry as a developer, focused on my resume.
Had a second interview with the same person at TripAdvisor that focused more on technical questions around JavaScript and some technical CSS questions.
From there we scheduled an on-site interview. The on-site consisted of a series of 1-on-1 interviews with 4 members of the team I'd be working on. The questions were generally about solving examples of HTML, CSS and JavaScript problems, solved on a whiteboard, or a simple development environment on computer. Each interviewer focused on a specific skill such as HTML, the other on JavaScript, one on CSS and finally one on some general computer-science theory. Finally I met with the original phone interviewer, and a HR person that asked more personality and collaborative problem-solving problems in a work-type setting.
I came out of the interview satisfied with how I was able to solve their technical problems, and I felt that I communicated well with the different interviewers and had good rapport with them.
A few days later the recruiter informed me that TripAdvisor was going to decline because I wasn't "up to par on my Java and algorithm skills" - none of which were covered during the interview process. I asked for more details and clarification, and learned that the position was filled the day before my interview.
I was left feeling that my time had been wasted needlessly.
