    Interview Details

    First a phone interview. Asked about tools i've worked with and aircraft history. Asked how i felt about overtime. Asked if I was experienced with priming and composites. They sent me to get a drug test after showing me the different areas of the shop. My day in orientation was spent reading books that were impossible to understand so they could have me sign off that i read them in order to cover their own behinds in case of further legal issues. Training is kind of learn as you go. Don't screw up or you get sent to a room where you have to talk to higher management and they will document your mistake and ask you how you made it and what you will do to prevent it from happening again

    TSLA- Chatsworth is the old Hydro-Mil Facility and unfortunately has not improved its organizational leadership to overcome old school thought processes. I was led to believe I would be managing a project when in actuality the Top Management team did not understand the foundational principles of project management, and thus no empowerment was delegagted. The VP of Material is actually running the Quality organization which has led to many systems anomalies, especially as it relates to Quality Management Systems and integration within the overall business philosophy.

    my initial application for the position was online; i was contacted by phone 3 days later to setup an in-person interview which i accepted; that interview was conducted 3 business days later; when i arrived the HR manager met me and introduced me to my potential supervisor and two lead mechanics; the interview was in a conference room with the 4 aforementioned people; the initial interview questions were geared towards my technical experience, training, and abilities (about the first 10 minutes); the remainder of the interview (35 minutes) was centered around my teamwork skills; for example: how do i feel about having to work with younger coworkers?; explain a time i made a mistake and how did i handle it; how do i perceive stress and how do i handle it; overall the interview process was more of an informal setting and atmosphere (not tense) and the interview panel allowed me to not only provide my answers but to offer questions to them during the entire process
