Interviewed Jan 2011 in San Francisco, CA (took 2 months)
I had a skills interview through e-mail. The skills test was basically asking me to translate an article. After that, I had a phone interview that lasted about 20 minutes. The phone interview was very informal, the person asked me what I liked to do on my free time, what I thought about Twitter the company, etc. The on site interview was done with three different people and it was about 30 minutes each. They were all very nice and informal, they didn't ask any of the common questions like "what are your three strenghts/weaknesses" etc. People were super nice and the HQ in SF is amazing..wish I had gotten that job!

Interviewed Dec 2010 in San Francisco, CA (took 2 weeks)
First, I got an e-mail from a recruiter requesting to translate an article. After a couple of days, they have scheduled a phone interview with the hiring manager. She didn’t call me at the right time and she seems to be overwhelmed and in a hurry. She asked the typical questions, but she wasn’t engaging in the conversation.
The phone was on speaker mode and it was very hard to understand the questions clearly. There is a lot of eco in the room. I feel bad having to ask her to repeat the questions. Of course, it didn’t go well and I never heard back from them.
When I tried to do a follow up message, I was completed ignored. I was so disappointed. This attitude complete changed the impression and appreciation I had for Twitter. I would have expected more from a company like that.
