  arrange the balls so that, if I pick a ball from a bucket a random, I maximise my chance of choosing a white ball? What is the probability?

put one white ball in one bucket and all remaining black and white balls in the other bucket. probability of selecting white is 1/2 x 1 + 1/2 x 49/99 = 74/99
