Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Tyco (Sacramento, CA).

Interview

This company generally will bring you in for an interview and if they decide to let you work for them, you will be sent to a temp agency and hired through them. Your contract may or may not lead to full time work. You will get a good feeling from the interviewers like there is potential for growth, but once you are hired you will see the reality that it is a dead end job. If you want to simply stay in a position and collect a paycheck... keep your head down, don't ask questions, blindly follow and you will get a small stipend.

Interview Questions

  • Typical questions. Let them know if you have any experience. Typical "What is your greatest weakness?" questions.   Answer Question

Negotiation

They will low ball you like crazy on price. Pretty much, they will not hire you if you negotiate unless you have your NICET and/or Fire Life Safety certifications.
