The situation was given as a event sales, what will I response when I meet some client has no interest on in business. Some other question just the same as regular process. Go over the resume and describe the previous work experience, including some follow-up questions.   Answer Question

    Editor-In-Chief Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at UBM (Colorado Springs, CO) in October 2014.

    Interview

Interviewing at UBM is like being in Terry Gilliam's film Brazil. The process is straight-forward and business-friendly enough, but there are So.Many.Hoops.To.Jump.Through. I interviewed for one job at UBM, and in the process, was farmed out by internal recruiters to apply for three others within the organization, all of which involved multiple levels, lots of research, work assessment assignments that were very time and energy intensive--all in all I had nearly 20 interviews with UBM comprised of recruiter screens, hiring managers and team members for four different positions. When I had passed through multiple hoops for one position, I was told very breezily that they decided to go with an internal candidate ("...but! There's another position in XXX division that we'd love to have you apply for!") In the end, I was offered the first job I had applied for, and then had the offer rescinded after they performed an online-only based reference check (i.e. they never actually talk to any of your references). This reference service uses conventions that people coming from the work places I have been at are totally unfamiliar with, and I think the questions and scoring are very disingenuous. The only way to "pass" the reference really is to have people who will blindly give high marks in every section, and never provide any substantive feedback or areas to improve upon. It's phrased more like a performance evaluation, frankly, and I think that this misleads your references. I have used the same references in the past and been extended offers from what they said, and I had also been told by the recruiter that the first person UBM had offered the position before me had had it rescinded on the reference check. The end result of my experience interviewing with UBM was totally demoralizing and exhausting.

    Marketing Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at UBM (San Francisco, CA) in October 2014.

    Interview

Had two phone interviews, one with the recruiter and the other with the hiring manager before I got asked to come into an interview on two separate days with 5 different people and went out of my way to accommodate the schedules of the managers I was interviewed by. After my final interview, I was told that they "really liked" me and that they'd follow up with an extensive reference check. Once this was complete, I failed to hear back from the recruiter or hiring manager so I contacted them and asked why there had been a delay. I was told the process complex than they initially thought and that I'd hear back from them after a certain date... It's been 2 months since the recruiting process began I've been left in the dark without a formal offer or rejection in hand... I cannot for the life of me comprehend why it's so difficult to say yay or nay to a candidate. I can only sum up my experience with this company in a few words: unworthy and downright unprofessional. Steer clear!

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at UBM (San Francisco, CA) in March 2014.

    Interview

They sat me in a huge conference room alone for while. I had to meet with 6 people. I was originally told I would be there for 2 hours and they were very unprepared. I was considered for the job because I complimented my interviewer's outfit. This place was a joke so i took a job at Salesforce. I'm happy there.
