Interviewed Nov 2010 in Atlanta, GA (took 6 weeks)
I was lead to believe that I had the job but was strung along through a chain of e-mails for weeks. These e-mails talked about delayed start dates, client approval, ect excuses, excuses. Eventually the communication stopped. I think after burning up gas for two interviews the least they could have done was send an e-mail saying I didn't get the job. Once again another company takes the chickenshit way out.

Interviewed May 2008 (took 3 days)
The interview consisted of an on campus interview, followed by an office visit. The office visit was a dinner the night before with lower level employees. The following day, interviews were mixed in with social gatherings with employees. The interviews were not incredibly difficult, as you speak with everyone ranging from staff to partners.

Interviewed May 2009 in Houston, TX (took 4 weeks)
The process began with a dinner at the university to get acquainted with all of the "middle market" accounting firms that were registered to work with the accounting program's internship recruiting process. A few weeks after was a dinner, and then the day after was the on-campus interviewer. The interview actually featured two interviewers. Later that week, the firm contacted the certain students who would be invited to continue in the recruiting process (as well as who would be invited to visit the office). The recruiting process featured several events (meals, games, etc.,). After the school year ended were office visits. These were two-day affairs with the first night featuring a dinner and the second day being a tour of the office with breakfast, lunch, a presentation, and two thirty-minute interviews The process is laidback generally, but remember to be alert -- these are interviews, even if some (meals) are informal.

Reason for Declining
It was really close and even now, I realize the decision could've gone either way, but ultimately I was choosing between a smaller firm (this one) and a larger firm (the other one), and I realized that if nothing else, it would be more feasible to move from a larger firm to this one (if I wanted to) than the other way around.
Other Details
I got the interview through a College or University and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview and a Presentation.
