Long rime passed between the test and the interview, like one month and after the interview other three months passed to get finally an offer. In essence they go with the lowest and qualified bidder hence no real negotiation. I looked up the salary scale which is publicly available and knew a ball park figure within which I could quote. I did somewhat underquote in order to secure the job, however different strategies work for different people.
