Interviewed Apr 2009 in Dallas, TX (took 2 days)
The initial step entails the applicant to apply online. The applicant will often receive an email in return, which invites him/her to attend a presentation at the warehouse the applicant applied to. During the presentation, a HR representative will discuss what the job is and what UPS expects from its applicants. Afterwards the rep will provide the presentation invitees a tour of the warehouse and its facilities. Before the presentation concludes, each invitee will provide further personal information on supplementary forms and choose the shift he/she prefers to work.
The applicant waits for HR to contact him/her with an interview offer. During the interview, the interviewer will go over and discuss the responses the applicant provided in his/her application and supplementary forms. After the discussion, the interviewer will conduct a personality test; he/she will also ask the applicant to consent to a background check, particularly into citizenship and criminal records.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Dallas, TX (took a day)
I showed up & was directed to a waiting room. The interviewer entered, greeted me & directed me to his office. Gave him a resume he didn't need or want. He scanned my on-line aplication, it was complate, and told me when to show up for training. It took about 10 minutes.
