Interviewed Nov 2011 (took a day)
The interview basically consists of one manager asking you if you are alright with working in the cold, lifting heavy packages and if you can work the hours they want you to work. As long as you say yes to all the questions and pass the background check you got the job.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took a day)
Filled out and application online then picked a date to go to the HR office. You go in a room with 5-10 other candidates and HR goes over the job, what you'll be doing, pay, all that stuff. After that they call you in one by one and sit you down and ask a few questions. They just verify what you put on the application. Easy interview. After that they ask for a photo ID and SS card. Your SS number is entered for background check. Once that clears they call you in for orientation. It took me two weeks to wait for the call back. I started working the week before Thanksgiving.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Santa Maria, CA (took 5 days)
To apply for the season helper job you have to go to the UPS website. From there during the months of November/December they will most likely be an available application to fill out. You will also have to questionnaire If memory serves me right. Right after you finish the application It set me up with a time to 'tour the facilities' it said to wear casual clothing with good shoes. This was less of a tour and more of a job interview. They met with 9 of us one at a time. Walked outside(not a tour) gave us a rundown of what they expected of its employees and when and where we would need to get to should we be hired. Prepare for allot of standing around waiting during this time wear some comfortable shoes. They then met with us one at a time and asked if I was ok with the hours, pay, if I had reliable transportation, If you are not well groomed they will ask you if you are ok with shaving or getting a haircut. Guys need to be clean shaven and hair can't be too long. Females need to have their hair consolidated with a hair clip or other means. They asked why I wanted to work for UPS, as well as told me I would be lifting boxes of all shapes and sizes up to 50 lbs(while working boxes got allot heavier than 50 lbs).
After this they said they would call me, they did a few days later for orientation. They give you a rundown of on the job problems you might encounter: Changing terrain, dogs, ect. You sign some papers and listen to some people speak and eventually get your uniform. This takes roughly 3 hours. Then you go home and play the waiting game until they call you to help a driver. took nearly a week before they called me. You will get the majority of your hours the week leading up to Christmas.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in New Port Richey, FL (took a day)
A group of us were invited to participate through career central in New Port Richey, FL to apply for UPS seasonal driver helper. The pay rate of 8.50 was stated and then in no order we would have a 1:1 interview with a UPS employee. After the interview, which was standard, the most important questions were concerning criminal background and driving record. If both your criminal and driving records are in good standing then you are later called in for orientation, issued uniforms and consequently you might be asked to ride with a driver the same day.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Los Angeles, CA (took a day)
I applied online and they gave me an interview date right away after I finished my application. During the interview I was told about the responsibilities of the position and if I was comfortable carrying 70 pounds. This is not a difficult interview if you practice and know about your past experience.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Augusta, GA (took a day)
I applied online through their website. I finished applications for both package handler & driver's helper (the one I got the interview for). You set up the interview online (the HR manager strictly does everything by email), & you go whenever it says to go. I showed up a little early, on the tail-end of another group's presentation. Basically, the HR manager goes over the basic rules & such; & then makes sure that you know this is seasonal, part-time only. After that, you go to a 1:1, which basically you confirm the information on your application and the manager tells you when orientation is. I feel like I've got the job, but it's so vague--not to mention there were so many others that also showed up. I'm sure that's gonna amount to hours being split between everyone. There's only 4 weeks, Monday-Friday; & shifts typically last 5 hours per day. The interview, in fact, really wasn't much of an interview at all. So if you want a job as a driver's helper, just apply & show up. It's that simple.
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
No negotiations. The HR manager was pretty blunt about it--if you can't handle a PT, seasonal job for 8.50/hr., don't take the job.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
Well I walked into the building and was greeted by the receptionist. She told me where to go so I could have my interview done. She gave me a few papers to fill out and there about four or five others we talked about the job. The interviewer asked a few questions. We all had the opportunity to answer questions. then he also gave us the option to ask questions of our own about the company and whatever we wanted to ask. Everything was smooth.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Latham, NY (took a day)
You first join UPS's career site and answer everything
(This is UPS's version of a resume - i saw a UPS video with with someone from HQ person saying that UPS does not take resumes and their career site is their version of a resume - i do not know if this is true for the higher positions.)
Once you do the online forms on their career site, at the end of it, you will auto schedule a interview. My interview was a quick 1:1. This is not what i would call a interview at all. All it was was to confirm what you said online was true. Once done, you are told that you need to go to a 2 or 3 hr (paid ) training whenever they tell you (My training day is Nov 1, i applied last nigh) . If you show up, you get the job, its as simple as that.
This is a SEASONAL JOB - November to December. However, from the person i interviewed, i was given the impression that one COULD be given another job at UPS. I have yet to even get training so i cannot say if its true or not.
