Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at URS Corporation (Houston, TX) in January 2011.

Interview

Sent application online via company website. HR called within 2 weeks to verify some stuff on my application (employment, education, availability and SALARY requirement) and then she called again
to set up appointment for phone interview with someone from the local office.

On that day, the person called and asked some questions regarding employment history, experience and some behavioral questions. She also stressed out the monotonous nature of the job, how small the Houston office is (if you were looking to grow within the company, i.e. looking for promotion), etc. The interview ended in about 10-15 minutes. I thought it went well but never heard from them again. You'd think a large company like that could at least get the HR admin to send a rejection letter or something instead of silently disappearing ... owh well.

Interview Questions

  • Our local office is small and there isn't much opportunity for you to "grow", why would you still want this job?   Answer Question
