I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at US Foods in August 2013.

    Interview Details

I had one prescreening interview over the phone, then interviewed several dept heads in the area. There were no difficult questions - the interview was more like a casual conversation. Overall everyone was very helpful and nice, the HR person kept in touch throughout the process, though at one point I went a week or two without hearing anything.

    Interview Questions
    • I had one analytical question that was meant to show my thought process, it was not difficult, one of the questions similar to "How many piano tuners are there in Chicago?".   Answer Question

they contact you, tell you that you are hired and then you wait for 3 months. Then when it comes time to actually come to the interview they make you wait even longer. Once actually in the building then have two people who dont want to be there themselves to pass the torch of misery

The interview process is quick. After interviewing with Managers and Directors (plan for about 5 interviews, lasting around 5 hours), I heard back quickly. Past experience that entails Foodservice will put you ahead, as some of my co-workers came from different industries. Regardless, upper management is open-minded and sees potential.
