Ulta General Manager Interview

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Jul 2011 – Reviewed Jan 5, 2012

Interview Details – Basic phone screening with recruiter about customer experience, leadership style, and motives for leaving current organization. Next was 1:1 interview with DM. Lastly a call from the regional VP for final approval. Please be cautious of the hype and ask thorough questions. They will sell you the moon if you allow it, but are quick to give false expectations and glorify the company and its working environment. Very deceitful at every level of the organization.

Negotiation Details – Did not negotiate salary because I was given what I asked for. Be cautious of high benefit premiums ( I asked and was given a number significantly lower than the actual) and low bonus potential, especially for other members of management.
