Interviewed Jun 2009 in San Francisco, CA (took 2 days)
I found the job on Craigslist. I was contacted and interviewed by someone in HR. Once I passed that interview, I was asked to come in for an interview. The day of the interview, I was all dressed up in a suit. I was interviewed by 4 people, one of which had on a t-shirt with holes in it. I knew, that the interview would be quite relaxed. Since I already had some experience, I found the interviewers to be unprepared, and easy to guide. I basically knew that the job was in the bag.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Wayne, PA (took 3 days)
I initially had a phone screening interview. The questions were pretty standard (how did you find out about the company, why are you looking to make a change, etc). The interviewer was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable.
Following the phone screen, I was scheduled for a series of 1:1 interviews. I was initially scheduled to meet with 5 people, but only wound up meeting with 4. When I arrived, was asked to complete the same application that I had already completed online. I waited quite a while before I met with the first interviewer. Things generally seemed to be busy and somewhat disorganized.
All of the interviewers that I met with were very friendly. The questions were pretty general for the most part. They seemed to be looking more for a personality fit then for specific skills. Most of the interviewers described the "successful candidate" as type A, driven, and highly motivated. The final person I met with was an HR rep. We discussed my salary requirements and benefits primarily. I interviewed on a Wednesday, and I she told me that I should hear back from them by the following Tuesday. It took about 3 hours in total.
The following Monday I was contacted by the receptionist to schedule another 1:1 interview. I was a little surprized, but they were very accomodating to my schedule as I was still working full time. When I arrived for the second round of interviews, I waited for over 30 min before anyone met with me. The person who did finally meet me seemed like she was not expecting the interview, and didn't know why I had been asked to come back in. After meeting with her, I met with one more person who was one of the hiring managers for the position I was applying to. The questions were pretty similar to the first round of interviews. I wound up spending about 1.5 hours for that second round.
After the second interview, I didn't hear anything for over a week. I emailed the HR person several times, and she said that they were still discussing their decision. About 1.5 weeks after the last interview they finally told me that "they enjoyed meeting me, but could not accomodate my salary requirements."
In summary, I'm not entirely sure why they brought be back for another interview when they already knew my salary requirements. I did learn during my second interview that they were processing about 80 interviews a month at that time. I think there were only about 150 people at that location, so it was probably a lot of work to process that many candidates. I liked the company and the people a lot. It seemed like a very dynamic, energetic, team oriented environment, but I was a little bit frustrated by the lack of coordination and comunication.

Interviewed May 2010 (took 1+ week)
I went in for an interview that lasted 6 hours and didn't get the job .. I thought I had the , but the agency called me and said they went with another candidate..I later found out that the job was only paying $12 for a project assistant , with that # I probably would have declined to work there ..A starting salary of 12 is too damn low for a job of that nature .

Interviewed Jan 2010 in South San Francisco, CA (took 2 weeks)
I had seen repeated postings on Craig's List over a 2-month period for a number of positions but realized their application process was too generic to make a meaningful impression. Consequently, I reached out to my network in order to find an inside contact with the company.
Fortunately, a former co-worker was able to submit my resume and I received a request for a phone interview within a week. We scheduled the phone interview for the following week.
The interview itself was conducted by an HR executive and took 30 minutes. The experience was akin to a verbal physician's intake form. I did receive a prompt, yet vague, "Thank you but no thank you."
Overall, the experience was clinically professional, but completely devoid of an opportunity to make meaningful contact, or to prove my actual value to the hiring manager.

Received and Declined Offer
|
Interviewed Sep 2009 in Langhorne, PA (took 2 days)
The interview process was your standard types of interviews. First a phone interview, then a face to face interview will various people at the local office. Then another final phone interview with a Software Test Engineer.
Standard interview questions were asked that were along the lines of your skill set, work habits, and tech knowledge of web and telephony applications. Also, specific questions were asked about your documentation knowledge and SQL knowledge.
The interviewers were very nice and straight forward for the most part about the potion. Overtime due to the project timeliness, amount of work and the time difference between the San Francisco office was expressed during the course of the interviews and it was in an attempt to see if you put in the commitment needed to get the projects testing done. Even if it means working a lot of overtime at a moments notice.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
The offer was declined due to the overtime requirements that was expressed during the course of the interviews. I felt that the overtime requirements would have been to extreme for a good work/life balance to exist. The idea of working to 8 PM sometimes during the week because the west coast office was 3 hours behind just did not see fair to me. Starting work at a normal time like 8 am and ending my day at 8 pm sometimes just did not appeal to me. It was expressed during the interviews that overtime would be required due to the time difference between the Langhorne office and the San Francisco office. I felt that the overtime that was being required was also due to poor planning projects (all projects are given a 2 week max time line regardless of complexity), and lack of qualified employees to meet the demands of the company's work load.

Interviewed Aug 2007 in San Francisco, CA (took a day)
Interview went very well, and the questions were primarily technical on knowledge of SQL and overall development life cycle.
The company also needs you to put in a lot of hours and know how to work with documentations, so if you mention this during an interview your chances of being accepted go up by a lot

Interviewed Sep 2008 in San Francisco, CA (took a day)
I was contacted for a screening interview by HR. Then called by the hiring manager. Then interviewed by other Project Coordinators and a Project Manager. The people seemed mostly just interested if I could do the job and do it well rather than a culture or personality fit. Overall, the people interviewing me didn't seem too invested in whether or not I would advance and live up to my potential but rather just that I just be able to fit the duties.
