Interviewed Oct 2011 in Decatur, AL (took 4+ weeks)
Applied online, then got a call from HR expressing interest two days later. The phone screen was a few weeks after that, followed by a 30 minute phone interview with an engineering manager. Nothing too difficult, just be prepared to talk about your resume and answer basic behavioral questions.
The on-site interview was a panel interview with an engineering operations manager and a quality assurance lead. The interview is pretty laid back, and my interviewers said that that was the intent. They talked about the position, asked a series of about ten behavioral questions, and then you get to ask questions. Some questions will make you think, and a lot of them are based on experience. Be prepared to talk about project and technical experience, and what was the result, as those were the most difficult questions for me.
The whole on-site interview lasted about an hour, with a short tour of the manufacturing plant afterwards.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Denver, CO (took 2 weeks)
The interview process with this company was a bit of a mess. The manager with whom I was scheduled to have my phone interview missed our first appointment completely. I called HR and scheduled another; this time, the manager called approximately 40 minutes late. Fortunately, the conversation itself went fairly smoothly (basically a vague description of the job, and open-ended questions, like "describe yourself"). Ultimately, HR invited me to come to headquarters for an on-site meeting.
ULA, unlike many other companies with which I've had experience, asks you to pay for all of your expenses -- namely your flight, hotel, car, and food -- out of pocket, then reimburses you after the process is complete. In other words, if you're currently jobless and intend to interview with this company, you might have problems. About a month after the interview had ended and I had submitted all the required forms, my reimbursement check came.
The on-site interview was, overall, a more positive experience. The manager seemed reasonably friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to answer my questions. This conversation, along with those I carried out with other engineers in the company (it was essentially a panel of three, but one at a time), was primarily a behavioral test. Sure, I was asked about prior work experience, school projects, teamwork, but these questions were generally non-technical in nature and were geared more towards an evaluation of my potential work habits and ability to interface with others.
A few other comments about the process: HR will tell you, for the on-site interview, that it will last approximately one hour (it takes about three times as long as indicated, so prepare your flights accordingly); there is no clear schedule laid out for you in advance. Also, getting feedback or a final reply after the interview process had ended was like pulling teeth. I was forced to call repeatedly, over the course of a month and a half, to receive any conclusive results.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Decatur, AL (took 2 weeks)
Initial contact was email requesting written description of how I meet the job requirements. Follow-up phone interview was merely a confirmation of my written responses. Next step was an in-person interview with a 3-person panel - hiring mgr, mgr from a support org, and HR. Behavioral interview format.

Interviewed Mar 2011 (took 3 months)
A former college of mine works there and contacted me about applying for a position they knew I would be good at. The HR screener called about 3 days after submitting my resume and asked a series of questions (all about my work experience). Two weeks later they called again and asked almost the same questions but said my resume would be forwarded to the hiring manager. I was told I should hear back within 3 weeks. It has been 3 months and nothing. I’ve repeatedly tried to contact the HR person that interviewed me, by email and phone, but get no response. My college says they never interviewed anyone but doesn’t feel comfortable asking the manager what the holdup is. Not sure I want to work for a place where you can’t ask your manager a simple question and can’t return a quick yes/no email.

Interviewed Jun 2009 (took 2 days)
I was initially contacted by their HR department to setup the phone interview. That was a very easy and smooth process. The interview was scheduled for a specific time and the interviewer called me exactly at that time. The interview seemed to be pretty casual. I am a recent graduate so we started off talking about my experiences at school and the different projects I worked on and what role I played in those projects. We also talked about other skills I had such as different software packages etc. He then went on to describe in detail the job description. I knew a little about some of the projects that ULA had either just completed or was currently working on so we talked about those for a few minutes. He asked what type of job I was looking for at ULA or anywhere else. This was in regards to if I wanted to be an actual rocket scientist and plot trajectories and things like that or if I was more inclined to do practical/design/minor hands on engineering work. I chose the latter. To wrap up the interview he gave me a chance to ask any questions I might have had. I only had one question left that he did not answer in the course of the interview. He then said they had a few more candidates to interview and they would be getting back to me shortly with an update. It has been over a month now and I have not received any updates other than an email telling me they will be updating soon.
Overall I thought the interview was a good experience. My only complaint is the time it takes them to update candidates or schedule second interviews. I'm sure they are very busy with several other things as well as interviews so it's understandable but I wish it could be a little faster.
