Interviewed Dec 2011 in Honolulu, HI (took 4+ weeks)
I put in my application on December 23, 2011 and was called after the Holidays by HR in Arizona for a phone interview. I was then scheduled for a face-to-face interview in-office 2 days later. I was offered the position at the interview, but HR did not officially offer the position to me until January 2, 2012.
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
Salary was negotiable during the phone interview. Request a higher salary, and don't give the recruiter a "low" or "bottom line" salary because she will ask.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 4+ weeks)
I was initially contacted by a recruiter who asked me a series of questions. Based on my answers she forwarded my resume and information to the hiring manager. I was contacted by the recruiter when the hiring manager chose for an interview to schedule our first meeting. I met with the hiring manager for my position and the interview went great. She then contacted me to come in for a second interview with her boss (the department manager). I came in for the second interview and that went great as well. I was then contacted by another recruiter to make me the job offer. Once I accepted they moved very quickly to schedule the drug screen and background check. There was a series of emails and phone calls as this process was very intense and required for me to provide a lot of personal and professional information. I started working here and love it so far.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 4 weeks)
applied online and took online assessment, was contacted via email to come in for onsite assessment about 10 days later. onsite assessment consisted of 4 cust svc situations that had nothing to do with healthcare for skills and yet another personality test. was told by the person (who by the way never introduced herself and seemed rushed and rude) i would hear something within 72 hrs either way, i didn't . 2 weeks later i got a call to schedule an interview with a recruiter. i returned the call and left 3 messages over 4 days. then late on a sunday night a week later someone called to schedule a phone interview for the next day at 1 p.m. the call came at 2:30 and recruiter asked questions she said the company was interested in. had i ever had to claim responsibility for a mistake by another employee? describe a time when a customer was very angry. the usual. then asked if i ever had occasion to compose and send correspondence, what other languages did i speak and what operating system my home computer was on. recruiter was very pleasant and said i would hear something via email within 48 hrs. got an email wednesday morning saying that although my credentials were impressive there were others more qualified.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took 4+ weeks)
The initial contact is done through a recruiter. That is the first interview. And that is normally a phone interview. The next step was meeting with the hiring manager and a manager and supervisor in the department. That was a panel interview. Then a call back interview for another panel interview, which consisted of six people. Then a last interview with the IT PMO Director, which was a phone interview.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Minnetonka, MN (took 1 week)
Submitted my resume through the company website. Was contacted by HR for a 1/2 hour interview. Very brief and concise.
Contrary to my initial perception and belief about UHG and the HR department, the HR department did a wonderful and thorough job. Kudos to you guys :)
Was invited for a interview with the hiring manager.
Meeting with the Hiring manager..(1Hr)
- Hiring manager showed up 15 minutes late for the interview . No apologies whatsover.
- Met at the lobby .
- took me to the 1st available conference room (did not book a conf rm)
- Got booted out of the conference room in 15 minutes (someone else had the conf rm reserved)
- Went to different conf rm ( Got booted out again in 10 minutes)
- Moved to the 3rd Conf room for 15 minutes.
- Interview over.
I am not sure how this hiring manager got hired and I sympathize his directs reports for working with such a disorganized, disrespectful manager/individual.
Got called in for another round of interviews.
However, after my previous interview experience here, I lost my interest working for such an individual and firm, I decided to not accept the position or continue further

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Springfield, MO (took 3 weeks)
Applied online, got an automated email response the next day asking me to take a personality test. After that I got asked for more information. A few days later I got asked to schedule an on site assessment. Went and did that, consisted of going over your information in your resume, then taking a timed intelligence test, and then a computer skills test. The tests were fairly easy for me, however someone without a good amount of time spent on computers might not do too well on the skills portion. After the test, I was walked out by a recruiter and told my results and was asked to come to an interview in two days. That went well...consisted mostly of going over job history and I was then asked how I had responded in certain situations in previous jobs. I was told I would be notified within the week as to whether or not I would be hired. On Friday afternoon I called, and left a message inquiring about the position. I then called again Monday afternoon and didn't receive an answer again. On Tuesday I received an email stating they had hired people with better matching skill sets. I personally believe I wasn't hired because I have a college degree and they were afraid I would leave after a short amount of time, which wasn't the case, but oh well.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 2 months)
I received a call for a telephone interview which was set up and then did not hear from the recruiter a half hr later . the interview was rescheduled to the following week which went very well. I did not hear anything until 2 weeks later for an in person interview which I felt went very well. 3 weeks later I finally received a telephone call after sending several emails and telephone message myself. Then i was asked to travel 2 hrs to take a skill test and the recruiter told me they were definitely considering me for the job. I was very excited even after i had to take off work from my current job, and then to be let down with an email telling me I was no longer considered for the job. I only received a call after leaving several messages to why I was denied the position after I was told in the hopes of getting it. Very disappointed.
