Interviewed Jul 2010 in Minnetonka, MN (took 1 week)
I submitted my resume through Monster.com and was contacted within a week by a HR rep. Had a brief phone interview and was invited for an on-site interview. Interview was with the hiring manager and was fairly straight forward. I haven't heard yet if I have been offered the job.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Minnetonka, MN (took 1 week)
Without actively looking, I was recruited by a UnitedHealth Group employee for a position as Communications Manager. During the interviews, I was impressed by the excellent team. Within a week, I was offered a generous salary, bonus, vacation and benefits package. It would have been a great opportunity to work full-time, on site, in a communications role. It was a heart-wrenching decision to turn down this offer.
Reason for Declining
When an existing client found out I was considering full-time employment for the learning and growth experiences, and income predictability, they offered me a new marketing role and generous monthly retainer. As a result, I can continue freelance writing for my existing clients -- all from my home office where I've been based since 1998. While the full-time, on-site job offer was very attractive, the ability to remain a sole proprietor won out. What I lose in benefits, I gain in schedule flexibility and being my own boss.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Sep 2008 in Eden Prairie, MN (took 3 days)
3 rounds. first 2 were just a 1 on 1 with a recruiter, then you get accepted and go to "3rd round" which is pretty much an infomercial for the company. Everyone that makes it to the 3rd round gets it

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Minnetonka, MN (took 2 weeks)
The recruiter was terrific in the telephone interview. The 1:1 with the hiring manager was odd as she kept contradicting herself in terms of what she wanted, which was a project disciple who needed to be flexible. Is a disciple really flexible? In receiving feedback from the recruiter about the 1:1, the hiring manager perceived me to be nervous (I wasn't) and indicated I wasn't able to describe my PM experience (I thought I articulated it very well). Probably best I didn't get the offer from this hiring manager!

Depends on manager. Behavioral questions are asked to demonstrate how you handle/act in different situations. If you are interviewing for a technical position, technical questions may be asked, including examples of your work.
