Interviewed Jan 2010 in Birmingham, AL (took 4+ weeks)
I first received a phone call from an Human Resources representative just for some basic information. A couple weeks later I was asked to come in for a brief one-on-one interview with the Associate Director of Admissions, and also a group presentation/ interview for the rest of the Admission Counselors.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Birmingham, AL (took 2 weeks)
The interview process was pretty painless. I received an email from the PI of a research lab asking if I was still interested in a position in his lab. I said, "Yes, of course!" and asked him to call me. He called me the next day and asked me a few questions about my interests and abilities and asked for a letter of recommendation from my college advisor. Once he received it, he asked me to interview with him and to perform a few simple calculations. Then we talked about his plans for the future and the projects that he wanted to do. It lasted about 2 or 3 hours and then we were finished.

Interviewed Mar 2009 (took 2+ weeks)
The Interviewers were friendly and asked technical questions in telephonic interview and for the in-person interview they were more concerned about the soft skills and problem analyzing phase. There were over all five rounds of discussions and higher management was directly involved in recruiting process.

Interviewed Jun 2009 in Birmingham, AL (took a day)
I was informed about the position by the director of the department who I know personally. I forwarded my resume/CV by email and also applied online. Scheduled the interview by email communication. All day interview. One hour with 1-4 persons each hour of the day. The interview(s) was pleasant, but made for a tiring day. Afterwards, I had to initiate all of the communication. I was never informed that I was no longer being considered when a selection was finally made several months after the interview. In summary, very poor communication after the interview.

Interviewed Jul 2008 in Birmingham, AL (took 1+ week)
An HRM contacted me to schedule an initial interview. At the first interview the HRM was very professional and stoic. After making the first interview round, I was invited for a second interview with the manager I would be reporting to directly. I was asked situational questions.
