Interviewed Aug 2010 in Houston, TX (took 5 days)
It's isn't really a complicated interview. Tough for my position, I was interviewed by three different people. Generally the case is, you are interviewed by the person( admin or professor) who is hiring. The interviewer asked me about my previous work experience. Did I face any challenges, what are the tools and software I was proficient in.

Interviewed Aug 2009 in Houston, TX (took 4+ weeks)
You get interviewed by three different groups that are split by the teams within the office. It was important to have a collective decision and to see if you fit on each team well. You were also interviewed by your direct supervisor. The panel interviews were hardest.

The interview focused on basic OOP concept. Also with emphasis on providing technical support and maintaining existing website. You should also be familiar with deploying the website at their own Windows 2003 server. They have their own domain so must have knowledge about Active Directory and how to manage the domain. Also, you must be good at Adobe Photoshop and Indesign because during international conferences and delegation visiting atleast 3-5 times a year, you may be asked to create logos and also to create posters and/or create a booklet in Indesign.

I submitted my resume and transcript to the professor the position is under. A couple of days later, the professor emailed me to offer me the position. I would describe the culture as fairly laid back.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Houston, TX (took 2 weeks)
Met with the Department Head and discussed the advantages of the position and how I could best perform the duties. It was important to have a clear view of where the program was and where it should be going. Specifics weren't needed just a clear plan for overall program growth. Networking was a key to getting into this interview.
