Interviewed Aug 2011 in Lincoln, NE (took 3+ weeks)
The application process is easy & HR is great, but it's unfortunate when internal favoritism occurs during a public search, especially when the selected candidate doesn't meet preferred requirements. I learned that candidate privacy isn't always taken into consideration & the process can be a big waste of time for interested, but non-favored candidates. It sounds like this happens much more frequently than many care to admit. It appeared that the search committee was much more concerned about completing the standardized HR questions than actually getting to know the skills/depth of potential candidates.

Interviewed Dec 2009 (took a day)
Interview: very fair I would say but I lacked the particular experience that was required. The interview was well planned to accommodate both our schedules for a 1 on 1 meeting. The university looked like a great place to work and the faculty and staff seemed really nice.
Advice: as usual, always be yourself and act confidently. Make sure to get to your interview at leas 5 minutes ahead of time!
