Was asked to interview for a senior position. Checked back with them. They had not made up their mind either about me or about the position. Said they were thinking of downgrading the position to a lower classification and salary. Strange because during the interview they had complained about junior level staff who didn't know what they were doing and quit after a few months.

The interview started with a phone screening about academic and experiential background. Then had a multiple panel interview with key people from across the Student Affair department. Later had a 1-1 interview with a Dean. The people seemed really friendly and seemed very interested in getting to know me. They clearly wanted to hire a qualified candidate but didn't make the interview intimidating.

After the online application, there was a 1:1 interview which was followed by the employer giving me a script. I was supposed to go home, prepare the script and then call him back as a prospective customer four or five days later at a specified time. Based on both the interviews a choice was made to hire or not to hire

I emailed the tutor coordinator and she told me to come in to fill out an application. After I filled out the application we scheduled an interview. In the interview, she checked to make sure my overall GPA was acceptable and that my grades in the classes I was going to tutor were good enough.

I applied on line. I was called by HR for a phone interview. I was brought on site for a group interview and then went through a series of 1 on 1 interviews with the Assistant Dean and Dean. An offer was made shortly after. The entire process was under 2 months.

I was first contacted by phone to conduct an informal phone interview (take this very seriously and be prepared for the call), the I came in for a face to face interview with my would be supervisor, his supervisor, and someone else from the department individually. Then I came in for another face interview with the top two ranking employees of the department and the business manager. The process always takes longer than they say it will.
