Received and Declined Offer

Interviewed Feb 2008 (took 5+ weeks)
The VMWare interview process is long, and difficult. They flew me out to Palo Alto, CA twice and I had many phone interviews. I talked to the hiring manager at least 3 times over the phone, and interviewed with 2 sets of 4-5 individuals both over the phone and in person. Half the time the interviewers were confused as why they were even talking to me, so the interview consisted of just random discussions. In my mind the hiring manager was stringing me along because she thought she had better candidates but didn't want to say "no" to me until she had exhausted all options. Bad form to say the least.
Also the first onsite interview was a disaster. I showed up and even though I had a list of about 5 people who where going to interview me, I only saw 2 people. The rest of the time I just hung out and ate their free food.

Reason for Declining
The offer itself wasn't bad, about a 12% increase over my current pay but I can't work for a company that can't find it's left foot from it's right.
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a 1:1 Interview.
