After submitting an application, HR called to arrange an interview. Interview was with a panel of 6 people, including department head, campus dean, and instructors from other disciplines. Several questions about teaching philosophy and hypothetical situations. Was also asked to give a short lesson on a certain topic, which I was told about ahead of time.

The process took 1+ week – interviewed at Vance-Granville Community College (Henderson, NC) in July 2010.
Human Resources collected application and transcripts, set up interview with hiring committee, called and checked submitted references, conducted background check, presented contract, conducted employee training. Offer was extended following interview by phone.
