Interviewed Apr 2012 (took 1 week)
The interview process went quickly. After my application was pulled I was called in a week, and set up and interview for a week later. The interview was questions about customer service and how situations were handled. A second interview was a week later and was the same.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Fort Wayne, IN (took 4 weeks)
I was contacted by Vera Bradley's Human Resources department to interview for a Human Resources internship. The woman almost immediately replied once I said I was interested and we set up an interview for sometime later that week. The interview went fairly well, it was over the phone and mostly general questions. After the interview I did not hear back from the interviewer for over 2 weeks. I followed-up with her numerous times to see whether they had reached a decision. After the third time of emailing her, she emailed me back saying they wanted to do a Skype interview. We again planned our interview time for later that week and it went okay. There were two women interviewing me and the questions were much more behavioral. After the interview, I was told I should hear back by the end of the week. I continuously followed up with her, even after the end of the week because I still had not heard their decision. After they told me they needed more time and I should know by the beginning of the week. I still did not hear from them. I emailed the woman again and even called her office but got no response.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Fort Wayne, IN (took 12 months)
The speed that Vera Bradley takes to respond is very alarming. The HR is very old-schooled, looking for certain mold of candidates, they do judge by your name (which expose your ethnicity) then decide whether you get a call or not despite a impressive resume. So beware!

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Fort Wayne, IN (took 2+ weeks)
Phone interviews went well and smoothly. Individuals that were part of interview seemed to be very professional and respectful. On-site interview was much different. Office seemed chaotic and disorganized. Several people had their cell phones ring during interviews, two of them even answered calls while I was meeting with them. Company prides itself on its unique culture which can make interviewing difficult since the fit with their culture seems to be paramount. Assertive or overly-aggressive candidates should be careful.

Interviewed Mar 2007 in Fort Wayne, IN (took 5 days)
Upon submitting my resume I was contacted for an interview. The initial interview was by phone with a follow up interview that was conducted at their main office. The staff was very freindly and welcoming. Having said that, I was put off by the fact that I waited more than 30 minutes past my appointment time. After the in person interview, I was asked to return for a group luncheon/interview.
