Interviewed Nov 2010 in Sacramento, CA (took 1 week)
I initially applied for Verizon Wireless back in November of 2010. You first have to apply like everyone else via the online job application. If you are selected you will be called by a recruiter from Human Resources and you will have generally have an appointment made for your first phone interview. They will ask you most of the normal questions like, "Name a time where you showed exemplary customer service" and "Why do you want to work for our company." If the recruiter likes your answers he/she will set you up with a follow up phone interview with a supervisor from Human Resources. If you pass this second interview the recruiter will look for available positions in the area and usually give you options as to which you would like to apply for and send your information over to the manager of the store. The manager will then set up an interview with you and go through pretty much the same questions however this time it is in person. After this there is a waiting period and if you are selected Human Resources will call you back and make an offer and go from there. I have heard, however, that the manager may decide to set you up with another interview with the district manager if he is having a hard time of deciding which are the best candidates.

Negotiation Details
The negotiating process wasn't really offered and the recruiter doesn't give many options for this position. However I have heard that for a Customer Service Representative Retail position you can negotiate since it is a non commission based position.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Personality Test, a Drug Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Apr 2009 in Sacramento, CA (took 1 week)
I applied online in March, received a brief over the phone interview 3 weeks later after appliying. Scheduled an in store interview with the store manager a week later and had a followup interview 2 days after with another store manager at a different location. They called me that day to offer the position at which time I did a drug test and background check. Hire process, then training (which was awesome) and in the store by July 3rd. All together it took me 3 months before I got my first crack at selling wireless but the initial interviewing part was a breeze.

Interviewed Mar 2007 in Folsom, CA (took 3 days)
Came in as a temp rep with Adecco. Applied through the verizon wireless website. Within 3 days I received a phonecall asking to set up a phone interview. It was a panel phone interview where I had to complete STAR format questions and a sales simulation. The next day I was called in to have a face to face interview with 2 supervisors. 2 days after that I received a call with instructions for the drug test and the background check.
